WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE TREATMENT SESSION?
If you require massage to your leg or hip area it is advisable to wear cycle or loose shorts.
For Bowen Therapy and the Emmett Technique loose clothing is recomended.
WHAT IF I HAVE HEALTH PROBLEMS, CAN I STILL HAVE A TREATMENT?
If you are concerned that treatment may not be suitable or safe for you, please contact me using the Contact form. A full health questionnaire will be completed prior to any treatment taking place. Any medical concerns can be discussed with your GP, with your consent.
I HAVE VERY SENSITIVE SKIN, WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO HAVE TREATMENT?
Various massage oils & lotions are available. Alternatively massage can be carried out without oil or lotion.
Bowen Therapy is suitable for sensitive skin as it does not require an oil or lotion to be applied.
The Emmett Technique and McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release also do not require oil or lotion.
I FEEL AWKWARD ABOUT REMOVING MY CLOTHES IN FRONT OF A STRANGER.
You will not be asked to stand in your underwear for a structural assessment. If you are having massage therapy you will be given privacy to undress to your underwear and lay on the couch under a fleece blanket. You will be covered at all times, with the exception of the immediate area being worked on.
Bowen Therapy and the Emmett Technique do not require you to undress. Loose comfortable clothing is recommended.
WILL I BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE MASK?
The wearing of a face mask during treatment is a personal choice.
I will be wearing a type 2 face mask and adding a visor when in close contact.
WHAT OTHER COVID SAFE MEASURES ARE IN PLACE?
The window will be slightly open during treatment to ensure good ventilation. When not treating we will maintain social distancing. I will allow a minimum of 30 minutes between clients to ventilate and clean all surfaces. Hand sanitiser will be available on arrival and departure.
WHAT PAYMENT METHOD DO YOU USE?
Payment is by bank transfer the day before treatment.
