Hands On For Health is referred to within this document by the abbreviation HOFH.


This General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) privacy policy informs you what personal information Cheryl Cunningham of Hands On For Health gathers through the website www.handsonforhealth.co.uk, through the Hands On For Health Facebook page, and through communications with you. It explains why this data is collected, how it is used and what your rights are.


What information  is collected:

Your name, email address and phone number (contact details) and your reason for contacting Hands On For Health. When contacting HOFH via Facebook the information collected is your Profile name and photo and the information you provide in your message. If you proceed with treatment, a copy of your health questionnaire and notes of each treatment are retained.


The purpose of collecting this information:

The information is gathered via the website/Facebook page to allow HOFH to contact you and respond to your enquiry.


What is done with this information

Once your enquiry has been answered this information will be deleted, unless it is necessary to retain it to add to your treatment record to provide the most effective treatment.


HOFH will NOT share your information with anyone, unless you provide written consent, or unless required to do so by law. HOFH is obliged to provide the relevant contact information for NHS Track & Trace.


Your information will Not be sold to a third party. No data is held on mobile devices unless secured with a pin number or fingerprint recognition. No mobile devices are left unattended. In the event of a lost/stolen mobile device it will be locked remotely to prevent third parties accessing any data held.


The security of your information:

HOFH is committed to ensuring that your personal information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, appropriate procedures are in place to keep your data secure. All computers, laptops, tablets and phone are locked with pass codes. Paper records are stored in a locked filing cabinet.

Retention of client records:

Client records are retained for a maximum of 10 years from the date of final treatment. The exception to this is, is for children whose records I retain until they reach the age of 25. Records that need to be destroyed are securely shredded.

The right to access:

A client can obtain a copy of their records at no cost within 30 days of their request. A paper copy will be supplied. Additionally a scanned copy can be sent electronically if required.
